Wildcard Gymnastics Receives 2019 Best of Milwaukee Award

Milwaukee Award Program Honors the Achievement

MILWAUKEE November 11, 2019 — Wildcard Gymnastics has been selected for the 2019 Best of Milwaukee Award in the Gymnastics category by the Milwaukee Award Program.

Each year, the Milwaukee Award Program identifies companies that we believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and our community. These exceptional companies help make the Milwaukee area a great place to live, work and play.

Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2019 Milwaukee Award Program focuses on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the Milwaukee Award Program and data provided by third parties.

Tis the season to be smiley!

Rosa’s Photography will be taking photos of the gymnasts at Wildcard on Sunday, December 1, 2019.  We will be doing these photos in sessions by level. Please bring your child to their individual session and back for the team photo. If you leave your child here between sessions there must be a parent staying with them. No exceptions. In the individual session your child can do up to two poses.

Please wear the long sleeve competition Leotard. Fast Track can wear any leotard, however, if they want to be part of the team photo they will need to purchase the CURRENT competition leotard from the pro-shop. Boys should wear Black Shorts and a black Wildcard T-Shirt.

Optionals (Level 6-9): 11am

Level 4 & 5’s: 12:30pm

Level 3’s: 2:00pm

Level 2’s & Fast Track & Boys: 3:00pm

Destira Holiday Leotards  $35 

Happy Holidays!  If anyone is intersted in placing an order for St. Nick’s leotards or Christmas presents, please let the front desk know ASAP.  We would like to be able to have these before Dec.5th, so we probably need to order by early next week. Cost is $35 per leotard.  Please pay at the front desk and indicate the style/size you want. We can try to keep these quiet for anyone who is using them as St. Nick’s gifts or Xmas presents.  (So SHHHHHHHH!! Don’t mention it to the little kids!)

Parents are required to stay with their children.  Please dress accordingly!!

ALL TEAM/ Pre-Team members/siblings are invited to join the Wildcard Family for our annual Trick-Or-Treat gathering Thursday, October 31st. (There will be no practice at the gym.) We will be meeting on the South-East Corner of 72nd St. and Lloyd st. (7127 W Lloyd St. Wauwatosa, WI. 53213) before 6pm. This is just East of Wauwatosa East HS. We will begin Trick-Or-Treating promptly at 6pm. Please be early. Trick-Or-Treat lasts until 8pm. If you have a younger gymnast please help chaperone. For older gymnasts drop off is fine as long as they are able to get a hold of you. Depending on the weather, we may or may not make it until 8pm so please check in if you are dropping off.

This is a fun way for our team to spend time with each other outside of the gym. Hope to see all of our ghouls, goblins, ghosts, monsters, princesses, heroes and more.

The State meet is coming up soon!  Registration is due soon.  All accounts must be in order by November 1st.  Any gymnasts with balances will NOT be registered. All meet fees and tuition MUST be paid in full, including the State Meet Fee ($100).  The Meet fee is due by Nov 22nd with NO EXCEPTIONS.  Anyone who has not paid the State Meet fee and whose accounts are not current, will be pulled from the meet.

State Qualifying Scores
Level 2: Participation in 2 qualifying meets
Level 3: 33.00 all around
Level 4 & 5: 32.00 all around

Please let AMY know asap if you are NOT planning on going to State!

Admission is about $15 per day (but there is a 2 day pass for $25).

NO PRACTICE!
There aren’t any USAG meets for 2 weeks, so enjoy the night off!

For anyone who is competing at AMKM this weekend, feel free to come to practice another night this week as a make up.

Practice will end at 6pm for the lock in. If you are interested in your child participating in the lock in, please see the front desk or Emily Grining to sign up.

Meet week: Practices will remain the same for Monday-Thursday (4:30-7:30).

Friday will be 4:30-7:00 p.m. – Older gymnasts should stay to help with set up.
(NO OPEN GYM!)

We will begin setting up some on Wednesday (if you are available to do some little organization: Concessions area, kitchen, etc) and the major moving on Thursday night at 7:30 p.m.  Optional gymnasts and Level 4s should stay to help and parents we would greatly appreciate your help so we can lift the heavy (Tumble Trak, etc).  Friday will be the chairs and finishing touches.  Please plan to stay until at least 8:30 p.m.  Parents should arrive at 7:00 to help!!  We’d love to be able to leave the gym before 9:30 p.m.!!!

ALL Level 4s should plan to help with the Optional session and Optionals are expected to help during the Compulsory session.  If you are still interested in joining the AAU session Sunday the cost is $45 – let Stacy know ASAP.

If you are staying to watch your kids practice, stop in at the front desk to see if there’s anything you can help with.
