Wildcard Gymnastics Team News

Below are a few reminders:

The first installment for meet fees for Levels 2-4 were due on July 24th. Please keep in mind that if meet fees are not paid, your child will not be able to compete. The first installment is very vital as we must have their USAG membership completed in order to register them for the meet. If you have not paid the 1st installment, please do so at your earliest convenience. $35 late fees will be applied if not paid on time. Please keep in mind your second meet fees are due August, 24th.

Warm up payments are due July 31st. If you are paying for your warm up in installments or one lump payment, the payment is due on July 31st. You must come in to make the payment. The July 31st deadline is a hard deadline. A late fee will be applied for payments made after July 31st. If payment is not made, your warm up will not be ordered. 

There will be no practice on Tuesday, August 1st. We will be participating in Butler Night out. Please be in attendance. Please see previous post for location and times.

There will be no practice on Wednesday, August, 2nd due to our participation at Tosa Night Out. Please see previous post for location and time.

Please remember that Optionals and Xcel first installment meet fees are due August 24th.  Also, if you have not submitted your new music you should do so as soon as possible and be sure to have your new routine choreographed.

Wildcard will be performing at Tosa’s Night Out on Wednesday, August 3rd at the Milwaukee County Zoo.  This event begins at 4pm and ends at 8pm. We will have two performance at approximately 5:30 and again at 7pm.  When arriving at the zoo, please tell the employees you are with Wildcard Gymnastics so that you may enter and look for us at the Heritage Farm area. Because of this event, there will be no practice Wednesday, August 3rd.  ALL of our teams (Goldbugs, GoldbugsII, Fast Track, Level 2-4, Level 6-9, Xcel, Boys, and T&T) should be in attendance.

Addition morning practices available for girls on Monday, July 24th; Wednesday, July 26th; Monday, July 31st; and Wednesday, August 2nd from 9-12. This will be an open workout for all levels Fast Track through level 9.

August 1st is National Night Out in Butler at Frontier Park.  The event runs 5-9 p.m. so we will have NO Team practices on Tuesday night. Instead, gymnasts are asked to perform at  the two shows (6:30 and 7:30 p.m.).  Girls: Wear your new exhibition leotard; Boys:  Wear a Wildcard shirt and black shorts.   Level 4 and up may come to help with the obstacle course between 5-9 p.m.  Attached is the flyer for the event.

We will be attending the AMKM camp in Rockland, WI Aug 7-11.  I currently have Level 2s, and Optionals attending.  It is open to any other team members that would like to go.  The cost is $350 for the week.  Please return the registration form (from their website) and payment to me by 7/20 if you plan to attend.

Please remember that warm-up orders are DUE on July 14th.  You MUST fill out the google doc and payments must be made in person at the front desk before July 31st (only exception is that two installments may be made if you are ordering the full 5 piece set – $175 is due by July 31st).  Any warm-ups that are not paid for by July 31st, will NOT be ordered.  We must place our order ASAP to have them ready for September competition, so the sooner all of them are paid for, the sooner we can have them!

This is just a reminder that all team members on all teams (excluding boys) must place their order for Warmups by Thursday, July 14th. All Goldbugs II, Fast Track, Level 2-9, Xcel, and T&T must order the warmup. Warmups are part of their “uniform” and are to be worn on the gym floor. The jacket and pants (capris) are not optional however, the other items (backpack, tank and shorts) are. Please order by clicking here.

There will not be another opportunity to order. Please do so expeditiously.

We have been offered to do an overnight camp at AMKM in Rockland, WI August 7-11th.  This is not a scheduled overnight camp but they are willing to allow us to do it .  Cost is $350 if we can get 10 kids to attend (typically $450).  Please fill out the attached AMKM google doc by July 8th, if you are interested in attending.  More details will follow if we have enough gymnasts to attend.  This is for all levels of team gymnasts and Fast Track.

Jacket, capris, shorts, tank top and back pack $350

Warm up & pants only – $225

Tank & Shorts – $75

Backpack – $100

If purchasing the 5 piece set – you have the option to do two installments. $175 is due by July 31st and the remainder is due August 31st. * You must pay at the front desk!! Please do not send emails to run your account – it must be done in person.

Here are the more in depth details for the morning July 4th parade.

Arrive at approximately 8:20 am at the parking lot of the Wauwatosa Civic Center/Public Library (or “Blue Area”). We are number 26.

Remember, please wear the new exhibition leotard, socks, and athletic shoes with patriotic themed hair and makeup. Don’t forget your stretch gloves for tumbling.

The Wauwatosa Civic Center/Public Library is located across from Longfellow Middle School on North Ave and Milwaukee Ave (76th St).

Parents please sign up to help at the front desk for parades. Only one parent has signed up so far for anything. We need sign holders and people to help pass out brochures. Make sure that you are in Wildcard gear.
