Friday, March 1st, Visual Image Photography (VIP) will take professional photos at the gym.  All Girls team members are to wear their competition longsleeve leotard, if you do not have one please wear the short sleeve exhibition leotard.  If you need to purchase a leotard they are available in the proshop. Please make sure girls have something in their hair to match their competition leotard.  Light makeup is acceptable. All Boys team members are to wear full competition apparel, including black socks and black sweatshirt.

If your gymnast has practice on Friday, please have her bring a practice leotard to change into after pictures.

There will be a team photo taken at 5:30pm.  In order to be included in the team photo you must be present.  We will not wait for anyone as individual photos need to be taken.

If you are participating in the American Turners National Meet please stop by the front desk to complete your gymnast registration form.  Please bring your child’s insurance information, as this will need to be added to the registration form.

There is limited bathroom/changing areas – please have your gymnasts arrive dressed to avoid backups. Also, AMKM is located on a working dairy farm. Please stay away from the animals and any outside equipment/buildings.

We are gearing up for AAU Central District State and Regional Championships.  Please respond to the survey, even if you do not plan to participate.  We must have a response from every gymnast.

The Wildcard Carnaval Classic is just a few weeks away!

Practice Schedule & Spirit Days

Monday 2/11 – Practice as normal – Dress like a Celebrity Day
Tuesday 2/12 – Practice as normal – Dress in a Decade theme (Like 70’s, 50’s, 20’s, etc.)
Wednesday 2/13 – Practice as normal – Show off your favorite sports team
Thursday 2/14 – Practice ends at 6:30 for set up – Dress in Red/Pink/Valentine’s day
Friday 2/15 – Practice ends at 6:30 for set up – Wear Purple

Meet Buy-In

The buy-in for this meet is $25 to help cover the costs of concessions and hospitality. You can pay this in person or it will run with your monthly tuition on the 10th.

Volunteering

Please plan to have at least one representative of you family at set up and one at take down. In addition, we’d like you to sign up for one volunteer slot during the meet. This is a one day meet and take down will begin at about 9pm(ish) Saturday evening. In addition the spots available on the volunteer form we will start decorating and some light moving Wednesday evening.

Leos

There are still quite a few Carnaval Classic Leos available. Your child has the option to wear the Carnaval Leo or the long sleeve competition leo. You can purchase a Carnaval Leo in the pro-shop for $30. (Your child WILL receive a leo as an all around prize in the AAU portion, however, it will be a random leo and not a meet themed leo.)
