Wildcard Gymnastics Team News

We are putting in an early Wildcard Apparel Order for T-Shirts and Sweatshirts.      Orders are due by Friday November 3rd and should arrive before Thanksgiving.  If you need a shirt for the state meet now is the time to order!!  All  volunteers (kids included) are required to wear a Wildcard shirt (or team warm-ups) at the Level 2 State Meet Dec. 2nd-3rd.  We have some apparel available in our pro-shop but supplies are limited at this time.   We will be having a general apparel order due November 17th that will include many options from hats to Jackets and more.  The second order should arrive by December 8th.  The second order will be an excellent opportunity to get a variety of custom Wildcard Gear ordered for the holiday season.

Simply click on the link below, sign your parent name on your family account, and follow the directions to complete your order. The cost of the apparel will be added to your account and charged with monthly tuition on November 10th unless you  make your payment separately. Accounts should be current to place and pick up your order. If you would like to place an early order for a  shirt or hoodie make sure you have it in by this Friday!!

The T-shirts/Hoodies will have the Wildcard Word-mark logo and be available for purchase in gray, black, or purple.

ALL TEAM / Pre-Team  members/siblings are invited to join the Wildcard Family for our annual Trick-Or-Treat gathering.  We will be meeting on the South-East Corner of  72nd St and Lloyd St. before 6pm.  This is just East of Wauwatosa East HS.  We will begin Trick-Or-Treating promptly at 6pm.  Please be early.  Trick Or Treat lasts until 8pm.  If you have a younger gymnast please help chaperoning.  For our our older gymnasts drop off is fine as long as they are able to get a hold of you.  Depending on the weather, we may or may not make it until 8pm so please check in if you are dropping off.

This is a fun way for our team to spend time with each other outside the gym.  Hope to see all of our ghouls, goblins, ghosts, monsters, princesses, heroes, and more.

If you were not able to attend the parenting meeting on Friday please plan to attend the make-up meeting Wednesday, October 25th at 7:30pm.   This will be an abbreviated meeting and will be less than 30 minutes.  If you are unable to attend please make other arrangements with Julia.

Calendars are out for winter season AAU meets.

Goldbugs 2 and Fast Track Silver will begin their competitive careers with the winter AAU season of 3 required invites and AAU State, Regionals, and Nationals as options. The schedule is as follows:

Please plan your schedules accordingly. Other levels are welcome to participate in the AAU season. The 3 invitational meets are required meets for Goldbugs 2 and Fast Track Silver for their official move from our pre-competitive program to our competitive program.

There will be a parent meeting  FRIDAY, OCTOBER 20th at 7:30 pm for the entire team, including all of our pre-competitive programs, all girls’ levels, and all boys’ levels.

There is no meet scheduled for that weekend.

The meeting will address the upcoming state meet Wildcard will be hosting at the start of December.

The following groups are considered part of Wildcard’s competitive and pre-competitive programs:

• Girls’ Levels 2 – 9
• Xcel
• Boys Levels 4+
• Goldbugs 2
• Fast Track Silver
• Dragonflies

Wildcard was granted the ability to host the level 3 – 5 state championship earlier this year. Gymnasts from across our entire state will be commuting to the Milwaukee area for the competition. The meet will be the largest competition some of our team families have ever encountered. It will be much more complex than almost all of our team families have been involved with – with the exception of a few Optional level parents that are familiar with the state meets we ran 4 years ago. This is a huge opportunity and honor for our gym to be granted the bid, but it will require full participation from all of our team family. Several topics regarding how state will run will be addressed at this meeting and you will be able to ask questions.

A family representative from everyone must be present that night. It is vital because this large of an event will require everyone’s help, and this will be very different from our own invitationals of the past.

Practice will be adjusted to end at 7:30 pm that night so both parent and gymnast can attend the meeting and understand their respective roles in the event.

Please mark your calendars and plan to attend. We will be asking families to sign in so we can contact any families that are not present.
