**If you are checking-in the day that you compete, you must arrive at least an hour prior to your scheduled arrival time**

Admission: Athletes that are entered in the AAU Gymnastics National Championship receive complimentary entrance to all sessions. Spectator admission is required. CASH ONLY! Daily Pass: $10.00/Child (Ages 5-12) $17.00/Adult 2 Day Pass: $15.00 Child (Ages 5 -12) $25.00/ Adult Length of Event: $25.00/Child (Ages 5 -12) $35.00/Adult Ages 4 and under is free!

Parking: Tampa Convention Center Garage, $1.60 per hour There are several additional parking locations within a five block radius to the convention center. Parking can range up to $20 depending on the lot. Please refer to the Parking Map located at http://www.aaugymnastics.org.

Photography: Flash Photography is NOT PERMITTED by any spectator. The host has the right to hire a professional photographer for the event. The AAU, the Event Host and the photographer reserves the rights to all photos to be used in AAU business. The AAU has the right to take and publish any photographs throughout the event for promotional purposes.

Welcoming Ceremony/ (Tentative – Date and Time Subject to Change) The Celebration of Athlete Celebration: Athletes will be held on Friday, June 29, 2018 in the evening after competition. More information available at a later date. The athletes will participate in the March-In by their AAU District. There will be great entertainment provided free of charge. This is a fantastic event for families and athletes to experience.

Wildcard is gearing up for summer.  Please read carefully as there is a lot of information here!

IMPORTANT DATES

May 28th – Elm Grove Memorial Day Parade – GB2, FT, and All Team Girls & Boys invited to participate.  More info to come.

June 3rd – West Allis A La Carte Exhibition – Performances start at 12pm & 3pm, Please be there by 11:30 to stretch and help set up. Gymnasts will begin learning exhibition routines so it is especially important that gymnasts do not miss practice. This is for all Team and Pre-Team Gymnasts

June 9th – Turners National Meet – Turner National Meet will be hosted at Wildcard. Gymnasts who have already competed in previous meets are invited to join the meet. If you would like to join  please add your name to our roster by Clicking Here. Additionally, please stop by the front desk to fill out necessary paperwork for this meet. We will also be asking for volunteers for this meet so please keep an eye out.  It is a fun event and very low key.  Cost is only like $35 to become a Turner “member” and competitor.  It’s a great chance to see how much your child has improved and to just get another meet under their belt. 

June 11th – Summer Schedule Starts (See Below)

June 16th – Badger State Games is being hosted by GymSport in Weston, WI. If you would like your child to participate please register them by 5/25! This is for athletes who have already completed. Click here to register.

July 2nd – West Allis 2nd of July Parade

July 4th – Brookfield and Wauwatosa Parades  (Teams will be split – TBD – more info coming soon!)

July 15th – Wildcard Appreciation Picnic for Team and Pre-team. Save the date!! More info to come.

NEW EXHIBITION/COMPETITION LEOTARDS

The $145 leotard cost was due on 5/1. If it has not been paid we will run the card on your account on 5/10 for this. All gymnasts need these in order to compete. Anyone on Gold Bugs, Gold Bugs 2, and Fast Track should also order these. Please see the front desk if you would like to pay with another method. (You can login to your account and pay for this on your own prior to the 10th)

Meet Fees
Level 2 – $600 (4 installments of $150 each: July, Aug, Sept, Oct)
Level 3 – $675 (4 installments of $168.75 each: July, Aug, Sept, Oct)
Level 4 – $700 (4 installments of $175 each: July, Aug, Sept, Oct)

Meet fees may be paid in full by July 24th or in four installments starting in July.

AMKM Gymnastics Camp is open to gymnasts of all ages and levels. Their camp is designed to immerse gymnasts in a fun environment that promotes skill development, strength & flexibility training and exposure to new skills! While gymnastics is their focus, they do also take time to enjoy some of the perks of being on a farm with horseback riding, nature walks and outdoor water fun mixed in throughout the day!

Wildcard team members attend together as a team and we also get a huge discount!  Wildcard gymnasts can attend the one week over night camp for just $350 and two weeks (including the weekend) for only $700.

There are a few options available for Wildcard gymnasts and we will select the dates that work best for gymnasts who will be attending camp.  If you are interested please click here to complete the interest form.

Wildcard is holding a fundraiser in hopes to purchase a Blow Up Foam Pit for the gym. Besides being a fun addition to the gym a foam pit holds many advantages. Having a pit will make it easier for gymnasts to obtain new tricks knowing they have more cushion below them.  We are asking all team and pre-team gymnasts to participate in this fundraiser. Each gymnast is required to sell no fewer than $100 worth of product or parents may choose to buying of the fundraiser with a $100 donation.

The Fundraiser has already begun. If you did not receive a packet please be sure to pick one up at the front desk. The fundraiser ends May 5th. (You may have received a paper saying it ends May 1st but it has been extended to May 5th.)  Please turn your form and money into Wildcard by May 5th. Please make sure money is in a SEALED envelope and handed directly to Ben, Amy, or Lindsey.  Checks can be made out to Wildcard.

ORDERS WILL ARRIVE PRE-SORTED FOR PICK UP ON MAY 30TH

Due to many of our coaches and gymnasts being stranded up North in the winter wonderland, we are going to give all the Girls’ Teams levels 2-4 AND Fast Track off tomorrow (Monday). You may make up Tuesday or Thursday 4:30-7:30 pm.

Recreational Classes, Boys and High School will still meet.
