Plum Leotard – Fundraiser (Starts Aug 18)

Hey all, found a cool fundraiser! The Plumraiser! Plum leotards have that super soft fabric and all the gymnasts seem to love them. They fit pretty true to size. If you are unsure what size your gymnast is, ask Amy. These would make great Holiday gifts! Who doesn’t love an extra leotard?!! Wildcard receives $5 for every non-sale priced leotard sold. Their prices are pretty reasonable too. (Caelyr, Kyndal and Macie all own Plum leotards if you want to check them out). Spread the word. Give the code to relatives so they get the perfect holiday gift!

There will be no team practice on Friday, August 26, 2022.

FYI this is the last really good weekend to schedule for Private Lessons. If your gymnast is still missing a skill or needs a little brush up on routines, please schedule a private now! Also – there has been no word about the Judge’s Critique yet and both Elmbrook and Tosa seem to have off that Friday of the Precision Meet in Oshkosh – so hopefully that helps.

So, I received an email from Precision Gymnastics in Oshkosh, saying that the meet is very full and they want to hold Level 2 and Level 5 on Friday afternoon. So it would mean taking your child out of school. If most parents, do NOT want to do this, please let me know and we will possibly try to reschedule the meet for 2s and 5s and do a different weekend. However, I am hoping it wont be too much a problem. Please drop an email to the front desk: gymnastics@wildcard-gymnastics.com or let us know at the front desk. I would need to drop them from the meet probably by Tuesday, 8/23. ( I would prefer to do all or nothing).

Gymnasts that were at practice today should have come home with their new exhibition and competition leotards. A couple things of note:

*COLD WASH AND HANG OR LAY FLAT TO DRY

*DO NOT USE WOOLITE OR BLEACH

*THE LONG SLEEVED LEOTARDS ARE ONLY FOR COMPETITION

*ATHLETES WERE ALL SIZED AT PRACTICE- THE LEOS FIT DIFFERENTLY, SO MOST WILL HAVE TWO DIFFERENT SIZED LEOS- if you have a sizing question, please bring the question, leo and athlete to Amy to discuss

Mondays & Fridays will be team spirit days! Wear Wildcard Apparel to practice: tanks, exhibition leos, purple leos, old competition leos, etc.

TAPE NOTE:

If your athlete is taped regularly. Please purchase a roll of tape at the front desk for $5. This roll will be kept in their locker and exclusively used for their own taping purposes. Should your athlete forget their roll of tape, one day of grace will be given before we automatically charge the account for a new roll. If you’d rather avoid tape and your athlete seems to be coming home taped often, we recommend talking to Amy about reusable braces.

There have been some requests for carpooling in the Fall. At some point, I could print up a list of Team gymnasts with phone numbers, addresses, emails and levels, if you are interested. If you would prefer your information NOT be provided, please let the front desk know!!!

Last Day of Morning Practice – 8/19

Last morning practice for Team – 8/19. This will also be the last Friday afternoon Open Gym too! (Reminder: No practice this Friday, 8/5.)

Friday & Saturday evening Open Gyms will begin in September.

Fall practice will begin 8/22.

Level 2s – Formerly Fast Track: M/W 4:30-7:30; F 4:30-8:30*

Level 3s: M/W 4:30-7:30; F 4:30-8:30

Levels 4-10: M/T/Th 4:30-7:30; F 4:30-8:30

• *Fridays may change to 4:30-7:30 on some days – due to competition, etc.
• August 15th – Meet fees for all Levels will run!! If you do not have a card on file, please pay in advance!!
• TBD: August 24th or September 11th – Judges Critic (Times TBD); Cost $30
