We are interested in getting a new leotard for the Nationals meet this year.  (The district wanted to go with Pink instead of the traditional Red/Black). We are looking at this leotard for $35 with WISCONSIN in Rhinestones on the back.  We can wear it for AAU Regionals, Turner Nationals and AAU Nationals.

*** IF you are attending Nationals, I would like that all of the gymnasts be “uniform” and we all wear the same one.   Personally, I feel the same way about Turner Nationals and Regionals, but you will need to wear the old red or black Wisconsin short sleeve leotards then if you don’t order. 

*I need to place the order by the end of next week to guarantee they will be here by AAU REGIONALS.  Please pay your $35 at the front desk ASAP or call/email to run your card.  (Any one else that wants to order one, feel free, just let me know and we will add you to the order!)

Due to the small number of gymnasts tonight we are cutting practice short to 7:30PM.  Thank you to the gymnasts who are here tonight and good luck to those who are competing!

There is some cool news, but it will affect your practice on Tuesday, April 2nd.  Wildcard has been asked to be part of an Aly Raisman documentary (former Olympian, Me-too Movement advocate).  No, unfortunately Aly wont be at the gym on April 2nd, but the filming crew will be using footage from our gym to film part of the documentary.  Hopefully we will have more details and can post the video/links when we know more!   It is a great opportunity to help out Aly in her venture.  We will be closed ALL DAY on Tuesday – so no Recreational or Team Classes will be held on April 2nd.  Please make up with a similar class or ask for an Open Gym pass.  Enjoy the night off!

Since, no one’s Spring Break seems to match up, we will probably offer some private lessons during the day for anyone who is off but we are not going to schedule official morning practices because so many kids have different schedules!  Thus, we will have no practice April 18-22nd for the Easter Holiday, but gymnasts are welcome to attend as many practices as possible during those two weeks ( April 15th-26th).

Friday, March 1st, Visual Image Photography (VIP) will take professional photos at the gym.  All Girls team members are to wear their competition longsleeve leotard, if you do not have one please wear the short sleeve exhibition leotard.  If you need to purchase a leotard they are available in the proshop. Please make sure girls have something in their hair to match their competition leotard.  Light makeup is acceptable. All Boys team members are to wear full competition apparel, including black socks and black sweatshirt.

If your gymnast has practice on Friday, please have her bring a practice leotard to change into after pictures.

There will be a team photo taken at 5:30pm.  In order to be included in the team photo you must be present.  We will not wait for anyone as individual photos need to be taken.

If you are participating in the American Turners National Meet please stop by the front desk to complete your gymnast registration form.  Please bring your child’s insurance information, as this will need to be added to the registration form.

NOTE:
There is limited bathroom/changing areas – please have your gymnasts arrive dressed to avoid backups. Also, AMKM is located on a working dairy farm. Please stay away from the animals and any outside equipment/buildings.
