Wildcard Gymnastics Team News

Please note the following changes to the practice schedule…

Monday, June 3rd: Summer Schedule starts.  Practice ends at 8:30pm

Thursday, June 6th: Practice for girls attending AAU Nationals and Optionals (ONLY)

Friday, June 7th: Last Friday evening practice (4:30-8:30pm)

Monday, June 10th-Thursday, June 13th: Practice from 4:30-7:30pm each night

Friday, June 14th: No practice (Enjoy your time off)

Monday, June 17th: Morning practices begin

Friday, June 21st: Friday morning practice 9am-12:30am ONLY (No Friday evening practice); Friday open gym 12:30-2:00pm

Friday May 24th: Practice will end at 7:30 pm.

Wildcard will be performing two exhibitions at West Allis A la Carte on Sunday, 6/2.  We perform at 12:30pm, 1:30pm and 2:30pm.  The shows usually last about 45 minutes.  Please arrive about 15 minutes early to help set up the mats and get stretched.

Keep in mind if it is hot – wear sunscreen and socks!!  Bring water to drink!  Bring your own chairs if your family wants to sit – there’s not a ton of seating.  It’s a fun event though.

We will be performing at the Variety Stage located on the north side of 75th & Greenfield.  If it is raining or the ground is wet, we will not be able to put the mats down and the show will be canceled.  If the ground is dry in time for the show, we will be ready to go!  Please wear your Wildcard Exhibition/Short Sleeve leotard. If you don’t have one, wear one in black or purple.

All teams are invited – including both Fast Tracks!  Gold Bugs I and II have been working on their routines, so they should attend.

If any parents want to volunteer some time at the Wildcard booth, particularly during or before a show, that would be great!  We are booth 101 located right near the Variety Stage.  Please let us know if you would like to relieve Amy or Ben for a little bit!

Please remember we participate in the Memorial Day Parade (Elm Grove 5/27/19), July 2nd (West Allis parade)and the Brookfield and Tosa July 4th parades.  We will need probably about 6-8 volunteers to help during those parades as well. You must have a Wildcard shirt to participate!  That info should be coming out soon!  Sign up at the front desk to help!

Meet Fees
Meet fees may be paid in full by July 24th or in four installments starting in July.
Level 2 – $675 (4 installments of $168.75 each: July, Aug, Sept, Oct)
Level 3 – $725 (4 installments of $181.25 each: July, Aug, Sept, Oct)
Level 4 – $775 (4 installments of $193.75 each: July, Aug, Sept, Oct)

Level 5 – $65 for one meet (anticipating level 5’s will score out within 1-2 meets, in order to prepare for optional season in the winter). Meet price will change if competing the entire season as a level 5. If you score out prepare for optional meet fees to be posted at a later time. 

 Level 6-9 – $75 per meet (available meets for optionals are identified by **)

We are going to have a team movie night tomorrow (4/30/19) seeing Avengers: Endgame at the Rosebud Theater in Tosa at 6:30 pm.  Doors open around 5:45 pm and they recommend coming early to get good seats.  THE MOVIE IS 3 HOURS LONG.  Go to the Rosebud website at http://www.rosebudcinema.com to get tickets.  If you come without buying tickets before, there is no guarantee there will be seats available since this is a popular movie. Bring a blanket since it is couch seating.  Please bring money for additional food and snacks.

For those who would like to come to practice instead, there will be a coach here and there will be practice until 6:30 pm.
