Wildcard Gymnastics Team News

I am finishing registering the Optionals for their upcoming meets and was wondering if any of the other Girls compulsory gymnasts (Level 2-5) are interested in competing at these meets as well.  (I’d be willing to pick up the Midwest Invite for Optionals and Xcel too).

Clash of the Titans Meet in Oshkosh – Dec 12-13   Cost:  L2 $60, L3-5 $75          (Optionals & Xcel are already registered for this meet)

M&M Challenge (West Allis) – Jan 9-10      Cost:  L2 $50, L3-5  $75   (Optionals & Xcel are already registered for this meet)

Pink Ribbon Meet (Franklin) – Jan 29-31   Cost:  L3-5 $70          (Optionals & Xcel are already registered for this meet)

Midwest Twisters Invite (Milw) – Feb 13-14  Cost:  L2  $75, L3-5 $90, L6-9 $105, Xcel $90   (Boys are registered for this meet)

Salto Invite (West Allis) – L2 $65, L3-5 $110, Xcel $90                  (Optionals are already registered for this meet)

**** Warm-ups – I am trying to do a last call for anyone that has not received warm-ups/Jackets (and you have paid for them!).  If you haven’t paid for them and would like to order, please let Amy know ASAP!  I am hoping to have the final order in this week.

STATE MEET2015    – Claire  & Taylor W. are listed in the correct session for the State Meet.

I am thinking about changing a couple of the meets due to my work schedule.  Please let me know if this is a concern or problem for you – the weekends are the same, the venues are different. So instead of  The Legacy Luau meet in Minnesota, I would like to change to the Pink Ribbon Meet at Altius (Jan 29-31) and instead of the Mississippi River Vacation Classic in Iowa, change to Salto Invite (at State Fair, March 5-6).  If anyone has any objections, please let me know.  Thanks!

For those that missed T&T practice on Friday, November 6th, you are welcome to make up the practice day on Tuesday, November 10th at 5:30-7pm.  We will continue to hold practice on Wednesdays at 7:30-8:45 and Fridays from 7-8:30.

Also we schedule a day to go to M&M for open gym to practice Level 5 and up for T&T.  A future posts will go up in regards to this.

Saturday morning, Boys practice : Level 4s – 9-11 am (Sat); Reed 9-12:30 Sat.

Okay, now that I’m starting to process things little by little…Reminder:  No Friday practice or Open Gym this Friday, Oct. 30th.  For next week, please note I am at conferences on Thursday, 11/5 – so we will make do with coaches.  Friday, 11/6, the Level 2s, 3s & 4s should come from 4:30-6:30 p.m. and the Level 6s-9s should come 6:30-8:30 p.m.  There WILL be Open Gym on Friday (8:30-10 p.m.) and Saturday (6:30-8:30 p.m.) that week.   T&T  – TBD  (We may need to do a make-up on Monday, since Rhea will need to attend the meet in Green Bay that weekend as well; unless she runs T&T practice 4:30-6:30 Friday night… I will let you know as soon as I find out).

Good Bye to the Fowlers!  Thanks for a great 10 years – good luck in the next stage of the journey!  Excellent job on the Wild Wild West Meet!  Another successful event.  Fare thee well – Blain, Alie, Hallie, Bradyn & West.

Now for schedule changes… aside from adding Level 2s & 3s to Fridays 4:30-7:30 p.m; I’m not going to change anything just yet.  With Diana’s mom in hospice, and Alie and Blain gone, we will definitely be short coaches; so we are just going to try and make do.  Please bear with us.  I will try to make any changes for January but if we are desperate, we may have to do some rearranging.  As of right now, times and days are the same.

HOWEVER – THERE IS NO TEAM PRACTICE (ALL GIRLS and T&T) on FRIDAY, OCT 30th.  NO OPEN GYM either!!!  Nov. 5th may be cancelled due to a coach shortage…TBD

No Tops until after the Compulsory State Meet.  I will keep you posted if things change.

Boys will be coming Weds & Saturdays; Reed will also come Thursday.  Again, I will keep you apprised of any changes.  We are looking to hire another Boys coach.

Tumbling & Trampoline Team – Weds 7:30-8:45 p.m. and Fridays 7-8:30 p.m.  They may come to either of both (especially if needing to make up classes).

Open Gym – Closed Oct 30 & 31st!  November 7th will start Saturday Open Gyms.
