Hello T&T Families,

We are very excited to be on our way to a new season!  In order to get our flippin’ gymnasts (see what I did there) prepared for success, we are going to have our first M&M open gym outting Saturday, September 10th, 6-8pm.  We will not have an outting on September 17th (I will be in Racine for a meet).  I of course will let you know when we will have more outtings. The address to M&M Gymnastics is 16760 W Victor Rd, New Berlin, WI 53151.  Hope to see you guys there.

Many of the girls may have outgrown their trampoline shoes.  GK has shoes on clearance (the shoe will be discontinue).  They are light weight and have a suede sole.  There are still quite a bit of sizes let for a good price ($14.99). Here is the link to the shoe. Gk suede sole shoes.

Otherwise, your choice of shoe is still okay.  Please consider a rubber sole shoe. A rubber sole shoe helps grip the trampoline much better.  GK also has these shoes. They are a little pricier but they are also lightweight and washable. You can find the link for those shoe here.

Reminder: Tonight’s team practice is only until 7:30 tonight; no open gym. There are still Rec classes tonight and tomorrow as well as Tops & Hopes tomorrow.

These are not a requirement for the meet, but they were such a big hit last year! They can be worn for the Wildcard Competition and then for practices. We would love to see all of our gymnasts out there wearing this for the meet. These are available to Fast Track, Gold Bugs, Xcel, T&T gymnasts too.  Please see Amy, Rhea, Nancy, or Vonnett to order!  In order to receive these before the meet, there will not be late orders – so get yours NOW!

So looking ahead to AAU meet season…
This will be the season that hopefully all Fast Track gymnasts and Gold Bugs 2 compete their first meets as Level 2s.
Current Compulsories (Level 2s-5s) and Optionals can also compete these meets in the off-season hopefully to try out their new levels or to perfect their current levels. Gymnasts must compete at least one AAU meet to qualify for State (April 21-23) and advance to Nationals in Kingsport, Tennesse.

Our tentative schedule is:
December 10-11       Clash of the Titans at UW-Oshkosh (not sure if they are offering AAU) USAG is $100 entry fee!; Optionals you are already entered in this meet

January 27-28         Vacation Classic in Wisconsin Dells ($125 AAU for Compulsories);
Optionals you are already in this meet!)

February 18-19         Carnavale Classic at Wildcard ($50-$75 for AAU)

April 1-2                    Rainbow Gymnastics in Medford ($50-$75 for AAU)

April 8-9                    Carousel Gymnastics in Plover ($50- $75 for AAU)

April 21-23                AAU State at Galesville High School       OR
May 5-7                     Central Districts in Rockford, Illinois      ($75-$125)
June 21-25                 AAU Nationals in Kingsport, Tennesse ($75- $150)

*AAU Membership is $35 per gymnast.

We have not yet received all the information on the pricing for those meets yet, but tentatively, the cost is approximately $50-$125 per meet. We will update those prices as soon as we have more info.

Fast Track and Gold Bugs 2 gymnasts – we would strongly suggest doing at least the Carnavale and Rainbow Classics and the competition at Carousel. You can then decide if you want to participate in State and Nationals. For those 3 competitions then, plan on 3 installments of about $75 plus the $35 membership fee.

NO EVENING TEAM PRACTICE 8/17– Level 2s, 3s & 4s can make up on Thursday, August 18th 4:30-7:30 p.m.

Hi everyone! I’m sure you have all been watching the Olympics and how awesome the US gymnasts have been doing! Now is a great time to get your little one (or big one!) fired up and enrolled in a class! We have put lots of new classes on the schedule and they are already filling up! The Fall Session starts August 27th.  If you have questions, feel free to email us or give us a call. Register your child for two classes and save $50! Register a sibling and save $25! Wildcard also offers awesome Birthday Parties, Field Trips, Overnights and more!

October 14 the Kellogg’s Tour of Champions is coming to the BMO Harris Bradley Center. We are able to get additional tickets at the early bird pricing of $50 for the Silver Medal Seats which are the 300 Level seats and originally $69. Please let us know by Tuesday, August 16th if you would like to order tickets! We can charge your credit card on file, take checks or cash! We already have a large group going and would love to double our Wildcard representation at the Tour! This is also the weekend of our home meet, the Wild Wild West Classic. We will be hosting a competition with an awesome Halloween theme. Reminder, there are no classes October 13th, 14th, and 15th because of the meet and meet set-up. Please make up your class with a similar one during the session or ask for an open gym pass. PS- you are invited to come and check out the Wild Wild West Classic. Mention you are a Wildcard Recreational gymnast and we will discount admission to $4 that weekend. It’s pretty exciting to see. More information will be posted on the website and in the gym; but feel free to ask if you have questions.  Don’t forget to get your Wildcard Classic Meet Leos ($33 – Due August 30th).

Open Gym:  Friday the 19th is our last afternoon open gym. We will beginning Friday and Saturday evening open gyms will start September 9th and 10th. Friday open gym is from 8:30-10 p.m. and Saturday is 6:30-8:30 p.m. Preschool Play will resume on Monday and Friday mornings from 9:30-11:30 a.m. on September 9th. No Class or Preschool Gym on Monday, September 5th. Happy Labor Day! (Gymnasts with a Monday class should make up with a similar class or ask for an open gym pass).

Thanks for your patronage! Wildcard couldn’t do it without you. And let’s cross our fingers that our US Gymnasts bring home 13 more medals in just Artistic Gymnastics! That doesn’t include Tumbling and Trampoline or Rhythmic or Acro!!! Check NBC listings for these events.

Friday, Aug. 12: Women’s trampoline qualifying and finals, 1 pm ET

Saturday, Aug. 13: Men’s trampoline qualifying and finals, 2 pm ET

Sunday, Aug. 14: Artistic gymnastics event finals (women’s vault and bars; men’s floor and pommel horse), 1 pm ET
Simone Biles could win the world vault title, and men’s floor should be a showcase of incredible twisting by Japanese gymnast Kenzo Shirai.
Competing : men — floor exercise, Mikulak and Dalton, and pommel horse, Naddour;
women – vault, Biles and uneven bars, Kocian and Douglas.

Monday, Aug. 15: Artistic gymnastics event finals (women’s beam; men’s rings and vault), 1 pm ET
Competing: women – balance beam, Biles and Hernandez

Tuesday, Aug. 16: Artistic gymnastics event finals (women’s floor; men’s parallel bars and high bar), 1 pm ET
Competing: men – parallel bars, Leyva, and horizontal bar, Leyva and Mikulak; women – floor exercise, Biles and Raisman.
