Wildcard Gymnastics Team News

Mardi Gras is next week! In celebration of Mardi Gras please wear the Carnaval Classic leo on your practice day either Monday or Tuesday.  Don’t have a Carnaval Classic leo yet? No problem, we have them for sale in our Proshop!  You can also wear purple, gold, or green!

If you are interested, and have not done so, please be sure to sign up for the meet by end of day Friday.  The meet is in Rockland, WI. It is open to level 2-10 and is $75.

Our Carnaval Classic Leotards have come in!  They are super awesome and personalized for our meet.  Gymnasts can wear them for competition at this meet only (but can wear them for practices any time after the meet!).  Please purchase leotards at the front desk – there are a limited quantity of sizes.  These are for sale to the public so ALL gymnasts are allowed to purchase them.  They WILL go quickly!!  BUY yours today.

We still need volunteers to assist with our Carnaval Classic meet that is hosted right here at Wildcard Gymnastics.  If you have not already done so, please go to sign up genius to volunteer.  We still need help in concessions, admissions, and scoring imputter.  Please click here to sign up.  Please remember, all team and fast track families are expected to volunteer and donate items. We will start assigning positions on Wednesday if there are still spots open.  Those who do not show up for their scheduled session will be charged $100 on their account.  Any questions regarding this, please see Rhea or Amy.

In lieu of a booster club, we ask that all Wildcard team and pre-team (Fast Track) families donate items and volunteer time to assist with our meets.  We still have volunteer opportunities available for the day of our meet. Admissions Capt-Must be present all day, “train” and assist with admission needs (making sure cash and change is on hand).

Due to our on-site  meet there will be no practice Saturday, February 18th for Level 2 Purple

The Friday 2/17 practice schedule will be altered:

4:30 – 6:30 All Level 2s and Level 3

6:30 – 8:30 Level 4 and Up

Boys Team will have practice Friday 4:30 -6:30.

Our home meet, the Carnaval Classic, is next Saturday, Feb. 18th. That means team spirit week starts Monday! Have fun dressing up and showing your team spirit!

Kick off the week with Mardi Gras Day, followed by Coach Look-a-Like Day, Favorite Animal Day, Superhero Day, and concluding with the most important day of all Purple Day. Be sure to keep your spirit wear on until you are told to take it off, so we can snap a quick picture of all the creative ways to show support for your favorite gymnastics team.

Here’s the spirit schedule for the week one more time:

Monday 2/13 – Mardi Gras Day (wear beads, feathers, masks, and more to celebrate)

Tuesday 2/14 – Coach Look-a-Like Day (choose a coach from the gym or from history to dress up as)

Wednesday 2/15 – Favorite Animal Day (let us know who your spirit animal is by dressing just like it)

Thursday 2/16 – Superhero Day (wear underwear over tights like a comic book character or dress like someone you think is a superhero)

Friday 2/17 – Purple Day (go head-to-toe purple all day and wear your favorite purple Wildcard leotard to practice)

Private lessons are once again available on Sunday, February 12th from 12:30pm-4:30pm with Amy, Julia, Nadiyah, and Katelyn. Private lessons are a great way to get your gymnasts ready for competition and/or attempt to get skills.  It is highly recommended that level 2’s take advantage of these private lessons. Private lessons are $45 for the hour. Please sign up for your desired time slot and coach at the front desk.
