Calendars are out for winter season AAU meets.

Goldbugs 2 and Fast Track Silver will begin their competitive careers with the winter AAU season of 3 required invites and AAU State, Regionals, and Nationals as options. The schedule is as follows:

Please plan your schedules accordingly. Other levels are welcome to participate in the AAU season. The 3 invitational meets are required meets for Goldbugs 2 and Fast Track Silver for their official move from our pre-competitive program to our competitive program.  

*Any gymnasts that have already competed the 2017 compulsory or Optional season should register for at least 2 AAU Competitions if they plan to attend AAU State, Regionals or Nationals.  

Please indicate your Name, Level and the Meets you plan to attend on the attached Google Form.  If you register for these meets, your account WILL be charged!!!  There will be no refunds.

Great job at the State Competition! It was a fantastic weekend! Thanks again to all the gymnasts and parents and friends that helped out! We couldn’t have done it without you!

Many of our gymnasts’ hard work paid off  and they were very successful at State. I don’t want to forget anyone so I will post medals and places later today but I know we had a Silver Medalist in the All-Around missing first place by .1!!! How cool! (Great job Mikayla! She is the State Champion on Beam!). Jessa is also the Vault Champion in her age division!!! Yay!

Monday, Dec 4th – No Practice Level 3s! ALL Level 2s practice 4:30-7:30 p.m. and Optionals (including Losenja) 4:30-7:30 p.m.

Thanks again for all your help! We really appreciate all that our families do! Special thanks to our captains and particularly those who stayed to the bitter end last night to tear down/clean up! Lastly, a giant shout out to Julia who stepped up to take over directing and planning the meet and Stacy who learned the whole computer system so that everything flowed smoothly! Great job! Without all of you it wouldn’t have been a success!!!

Thanks to the staff at Vincent High School who were so accommodating this weekend! (Lucy- great idea! Your colleagues were amazing!).

We are going to meet at WILDCARD tomorrow morning, 9 am. Then head over to Vincent High School so we are all arriving together as students will be in school during this time. It also gives us the opportunity to load anything else into the truck that we need to before heading over there.

Friday, Dec 1st – We can get into the gym at Vincent by 6:30 p.m. so ANYONE/EVERYONE that is available to help set up the equipment PLEASE plan to attend.  The more people we have, the sooner we can be out of there!  We could feasibly have it done by 9:00 p.m.!

Optional gymnasts and Level 2s – You will NOT have practice this Friday – so if there are people available to help at 4:30 p.m. – We can start decorating and getting the concessions/awards areas ready. Optionals – you can plan to go straight to Vincent!

Any gymnast not competing early Saturday morning can plan to help out Friday night. Older gymnasts may get dropped off/picked up to work but gymnasts under the age of 9, should be accompanied by a parent, unless on the Optional team. Xcel, Gold Bugs, Fast Track and Boys parents – we would greatly appreciate your help as well! If you know anyone needing service hours, bring them along too.  Also, Older gymnasts (9 and up) can be dropped off to work this weekend but please remember, you are to be working – not just running around.

* We will have a celebratory State Dinner AFTER the State Meets. Typically, we offer a pre-State Dinner, but with all the craziness hosting State, we thought this would be best done AFTER the State Meets. Watch for more info coming soon.

Holiday Schedule and January Schedule changes – should be out after State.

Thanks for all your help.  If you STILL haven’t signed up for something or have suddenly found extra time on your hands, feel free to get in touch with Julia or Amy or Ben.

Count down to show time begins!

Several families have not signed up for any volunteering yet and we have a large number of open spots. Assigning spots has been put off as long as possible. Starting tomorrow, any family not signed up to volunteer at all and has not made other arrangements with Julia will be assigned a spot.

We need people to help cook and freeze taco meat, make puppy chow and rice crispy treats, bring coolers, slow cookers, labels medals, put together shout outs, etc. please email Julia at juliafs@wildcard-gymnastics.com if you are able to help during the day at all or can cook items at home (we provide all ingredients).

Don’t forget to invite anyone that needs service hours to help set up and tear down!
