Wildcard Gymnastics Team News

Wednesday, August 16th, we have our Portillos fundraiser. We will be ending team practice at 7pm that evening so that families all have a chance to get there before the fundraiser ends. The fundraiser runs from 5-8pm at the Brookfield location. 20% of sales benefit Wildcard! If you order online or in app for pickup, use code PORTILLOS44 before checkout. If ordering in person, show our flyer or a digital image of it to the cashier when ordering in person.

This Friday, August 11, is the last summer open gym. Come join us Friday from Noon-2pm. Additionally, Pete’s Pops will be here one more time. Don’t forget your $5!

FALL PRACTICE BEGINS NEXT WEEK!

Do not forget that this week is the last week of morning practices. THIS INCLUDES LEVEL 2! This Saturday is the LAST level 2 Saturday. HERE is the Fall practice schedule.

Please remember that if your athlete does not have a USAG membership, SHE IS NOT REGISTERED FOR MEETS. Please contact the front desk or call USAG directly if you are having difficulty.

For team members that work out on Friday mornings, tomorrow is BRING A FRIEND DAY!!! Please remember that structured, coach-led practice will be from 10am – Noon. If your gymnast IS NOT BRINGING A FRIEND and you need to arrive at 9am start time , Amy WILL BE HERE at 9am.

For team members that work out on Saturday mornings, this Saturday is BRING A FRIEND DAY! Friends are invited for the entire 11am – 1pm practice.

ALSO, PETE’S POPS will be here Friday & Saturday! Pops are $5 each. Cash is preferred, however if you would like to add them to your account, you may do so by telling us in person, sending a note or email giving permission with an amount allowable (we will not take a minor’s word for it). In order to have it added to your account, you must have a zero balance on your account.

*We won’t know which day your gymnast will compete until about 2 weeks before the meet.  It will be posted as soon as we receive the info.  Please do NOT call other gyms for the times.  There are no exceptions for the meets – we can not change dates/times. 

^State cost (and pickup meet cost) is not included in the compulsory meet fees since each athlete must qualify for State.

Meet Fee Schedule

Meet fees cover 6 meets and will be added to your account in four installments. This is a full season and not one from which you can pick à la carte. The installments will run June 15, July 15, August 15, and September 15.  Each installment will be $225. State will be $125 (assuming USAG does not raise prices from last year) and added to the gymnast’s account upon qualification. State fee will run, if not already paid, Nov. 20.

Below is the practice schedule for Fall AS OF NOW. Fridays, especially, are subject to change because having the whole team here at once may be a bit too crowded. *NOTE THIS TABLE IS M-F- you may need to scroll to the side to see Friday.

It doesn’t look like as though there will be a lot of Optionals coming to the morning practice on 7/25, so if Levels 3s and 4s would like to attend Morning practice on 7/25, we can most likely accommodate it. So Tuesday can be a regular practice. Sorry for any confusion or inconveniences. Team in betweeners can stay as well. 🙂

8/11 Friday – Last Summer Open Gym & Last Summer Practice !! Pete’s Pops Fundraiser! 12-2 pm

8/14 Monday – Fall Schedule Begins (most likely will stay the same – TBD)

8/16 Wednesday – Portillo’s Fundraiser 5-8 pm – Go out to Eat!! (Practice ends at 7:00 pm to give families time to get to Portillo’s!)

8/20 Sunday – Mock Meet Level 2s-5s (Level 6 and up to help) 1-6 pm (More info coming)

9/2 Saturday – No Classes or Team

9/4 Monday – Labor Day – No Classes or Team

9/10 Sunday – Panera Fundraiser 4-8 pm – Dine in!

10/11 Wednesday – Chipotle Fundraiser 4-8 pm! Come eat with us!

The week of 7/31-8/5, we will be hosting Bring A Friend Day, where your gymnast can bring their BFF or cousin or someone they know might be interested in gymnastics! (Recreational Gymnasts will bring their friends during their class times).

On Friday, 8/4 – Team gymnasts (Levels 3 and up) will bring their friends 10-noon (practice will only run 10-noon that day so that gymnasts can actually “bring” their friends.) Then “Friends” can stay for open gym that Friday for a special team rate of $10. Please be sure to have your “friend” fill out the waiver/create an account at http://www.wildcard-gymnastics.com. Click “Register” and fill out all info – just don’t actually register for a class.

Saturday, 8/5 – Level 2s will bring their “Friends” from 11-1 p.m. (Their friends are welcome to attend the Friday (8/4) Open Gym for only $10 or come 8/11 for $10.) PS – 8/4, 8/5 & 8/11 may have the Kona Ice Truck show up that day!! (More info to come – parents can pre-pay!)

Hi Families!

In efforts to put together a clinic with some distinguished coaches from Florida and purchase some new equipment, we are looking to do some monthly fundraisers! Please tell all your friends and invite them to Dine Out at the following places (some dates/times TBD). Most of these places pay 20-30% back to us!
