Boys’ Team – No Practice on Saturday, Sept. 29

There will be no Boys’ Team practice on Saturday, September 29th due to the State Clinic.  The State Clinic is on Sunday at Infinite Gymnastics in Brown Deer from 8:30 – 1:30 p.m.  Please remember to bring a lunch.  If you were not pre-registered and still wish to attend, bring the $30 registration fee on Sunday and pay at the door.

Level 4-6 State Meet Parent Information

Please find a packet of information for the Girls Level 4-6 State Championship meet held in Kenosha on Dec. 1-2 at Indian Trail High School. The information packet can be downloaded here.

Admission information ($10/per day for adults), hotels, photography services, and most importantly t-shirt/sweatshirt ordering information is included in this packet.

All t-shirt/sweatshirt orders are due to Wildcard Gymnastics by Saturday, November 10. You will then pick up your apparel at the state meet.

Upcoming Dance Schedule

Level 3s will have dance tomorrow from 11-noon. This will make up part of class for next week.  Ms. Heidi is unsure of her schedule for the following week – we are hoping Level 3s can do Monday or Wednesday.  We will keep you posted.  Thanks for being flexible. (Ps- Ms. Heidi will dismiss the girls as Amy & Alie will be leaving for a competition.)   – Good Luck Level 4s, 5s & 6s!

Levels 5-10 will have dance next Thursday!  (Level 4s – We need to figure out when she will meet with you!).  Sorry, for any inconvenience.

Boys State Clinic

Coaches, Gymnasts, Club Owners and Parents

You are invited to attend the annual Wisconsin boys’ gymnastic clinic.  The clinic is open to levels 4 – 10 athletes who are registered members of USA Gymnastics.

It will be more important than ever for coaches and gymnasts to attend this clinic to learn more about the 2012-2016 quadrennium compulsory routines, the new Technical Sequences and optional level rules and skills.

New level 4 parents who are interested in learning more about what to expect at a gymnastic meet and how routines are judged will want to stay for an informational meeting with one of our judges.  Parents of levels 5 and above are welcome to stay to ask any specific questions they have.  The meeting will start at 8:30.

I encourage all gymnasts, coaches and parents throughout Wisconsin to attend this clinic.  Athletes will gain by being taught by qualified coaches who may offer a different perspective or technique and coaches will have an opportunity to network with other coaches.  Parents will gain a better understanding of what to expect for the upcoming season.

September Dates to Remember

A huge thank you to all parents and gymnasts for a wonderful summer. As we start the school year, here are some dates to keep in mind.

Monday, Sept. 3rd – NO PRACTICE due to Labor Day. The gym will be CLOSED all day.

Friday, Sept. 7th – Evening open gyms start. 8:30-10pm. $6 for team members, $8 with pizza.

Saturday, Sept. 8th – NO TOSA FEST EXHIBITIONS!! Go ahead and enjoy the day & festivities.  We will still have regular Level 3, Gold Bugs and Jr Gold Bugs practices.

Sept. 15-16 –  Girls Level 4 & 5 Midwest Twisters Meet

Sept. 29-30 – Girls Level 3-6 All-Star Challenge in Racine

Boys Uniform Swap and State Clinic Info

The boys order forms have been sent out for purchasing competition uniforms and warm-ups for this year. All boys will need to buy a new singlet this year, since the style has changed. Anyone who has shorts or pants that are too small and would like to sell them, please bring them to the gym by next week Saturday, September 1st. I will let you know if there may be an opportunity to purchase used shorts or pants at this time. I also have one set of warm-ups that was worn last year by an 8-year-old. If you need to purchase a warm-up, your child may try it on at the gym. You will also need to seam rip the embroidered name off so it can be changed to the correct name.

 

Also, please save the date September 30th for the annual Boys’ State Clinic, which is being held at Infinite Gymnastics in Brown Deer. More information on times and cost to come soon. This is a great opportunity for all the boys to get any skills they are still missing and work on their routines for the upcoming season. I would highly encourage all boys to attend. (There will be no regular practice this day – I will also be attending the clinic to help coach.)
