Good evening, everyone!
Girls’ Team will be off from April 17 – 21 for the holiday weekend, allowing our athletes to rest, recharge, and spend quality time with their families and friends. It’s a special opportunity for everyone to step away from their rigorous training schedules and enjoy the festivities that come with the holiday. The gym will be completely closed during this period, therefore, no Open Gym that weekend either, as we prioritize safety and a well-deserved break for our team. Please plan accordingly and use this time to relax and return ready for our upcoming sessions!
Looking ahead, the Girls’ Team will also not be practicing on April 28, the Monday following the AAU State competition, as this will provide our athletes with a much-needed opportunity to rest and recover.
Finally, if your athlete(s) is/are attending AAU State, you should have received an email with some details. If you did not get this email, please email the front desk at gymnastics@wildcard-gymnastics.com and verify the email address you would like us to use.

Since the girls’ gymnastics team practice is canceled, here are three productive activities they can do at home instead:
1. Routine Review & Visualization – Have them study their routines from the Wildcard Gymnastics blog, focusing on corrections, choreography, and skills. They can visualize themselves performing perfectly or even mark through the routine on the floor.
2. Strength & Flexibility Workout – A short home workout can help maintain conditioning. They can do exercises like push-ups, hollow holds, superman holds, and splits to keep their muscles engaged.
3. Balance & Control Drills – Practicing handstands against a wall, balancing on one foot with eyes closed, or working on controlled turns can help improve stability and body awareness for their routines.

We are so proud of all the hard work, dedication, and perseverance you’ve shown this season. You’ve put in the hours, challenged yourselves, and grown as athletes—and it all paid off at the state meet today!
Great job to everyone who competed and gave it their all. No matter the scores, you’ve shown incredible Wildcard spirit, and we couldn’t be prouder. Here’s to an unforgettable season and even bigger achievements ahead!

Due to lack of staff and athletes (Spring Break for most students and staff), we will not have Girls’ Team Practice on Monday, March 24, 2025. We will figure out a make-up date sometime this Spring.
Thank you for your understanding!
