Fast Track/GB2 Routine Clinic

On November 6th, we will be hosting a mandatory Routine Clinic for the Gold Bugs 2 and Fast Track groups.  Many of our team coaches will be on-hand to help with the routines.

Gold Bugs 2  – 10:30-12:30

Fast Track  1:00-3:00 p.m.

This will be the best opportunity to learn the Floor and Beam routines.  If you miss this Clinic, you may need to schedule a private lesson with a coach to learn the routines.  Privates are typically $40 an hour.

Don’t forget that November 1st will be your first payment for meet fees.  The first payment will be $110 ($75 for meet fees and $35 for registration).  The remaining 2 fees will be $75 each (unless the entry fees change!).

The Wild Wild West competition is being held on Saturday, October 15th.  We will need parents (and some gymnasts) to help with meet jobs and we will be re-setting up the gym on Sunday morning from 11:00 a.m until is done.  The more power we have the easier it will be. Look for a Sign Up Genius link coming soon.   Gold Bugs and Fast Track will also be asked to donate something for the meet…more details to follow.  This is also a great opportunity for Fast Track and GB gymnasts to watch and see what they will be doing very soon!

We will say our goodbyes to Ms. Dianna on Wednesday, September 28th at the end of practice at 7:30-7:45pm.  We would like Level 2’s to stay if they can until that time (they would have an extended practice time if they choose to stay). Please be sure to turn in your letter, or drawing so that we can present it to her.

Ms. Dianna’s Farewell

Dear Wildcard Gymnasts and Families,

As many of your know, Dianna is leaving us at the end of the month. She’s moving to Arkansas to be closer to her dad.

As a going away gift from the girls, we’d like to put together a book of memories from the girls. We ask each girl to write a note and/or draw a picture to put in the book. Wildcard will purchase a “blank book,” one of the hardcover ones with a plain white cover and blank pages. Each note or picture will be glued into the book and we’ll put a Wildcard Gymnastics logo on the front. The pages of the book are about 8 ½ by 11, so a standard piece of paper will have to be trimmed just a little to fit inside. (Keep that in mind as you are writing or drawing.) There are some idea starter pages available at the front desk, if you need one.

Tonight, Friday, September 16th

Tonight the Level 3’s will have practice until 7:30pm.  Level 2’s and 4’s will keep their normal practice schedule (2’s until 7:30pm and 4’s until 8:30).  Although their is Open Gym this evening, Level 2’s and 3’s are strongly suggested to not attend.  Please be sure that your gymnast is well rested for tomorrow’s meet.

It has been a Wildcard tradition to wear purple the night before a meet to practice.  If able, please be sure to wear a purple leotard (NOT your long sleeve competition leotard) to practice tonight.

Name that Gnome

The spirit of the gnome has precedents in numerous ancient and medieval mythologies, often guarding mines and precious underground treasures.  The “Wildcard Gnome” has been appointed to watch over the Wildcard Family.  He will bring good luck and good fortune to all those who come to Wildcard and work hard to unlock their hidden talents as they strive to do their best each day.gnomey

PLEASE  HELP!!

Currently our gnome is nameless.  Help us pick a name that will bring out our gnome’s full potential.  Once given a proper name our gnome’s full power will be unlocked.

To suggest a name for the gnome simply go to the front desk and write your name and your suggestion down on a slip and place it in the suggestion box.  Entries should be placed in the box by MONDAY SEPTEMBER 19th.

Suggestions will be recorded and a final vote will be taken within a week of the deadline.

Good luck and happy gnome naming!!
